The Good Gold Days

I love the fact that during times of economic woe we go 'old school'. As soon as we get near a recession we start to mend socks rather than just buy new ones. We shop around for the best deals on food like I remember by grandparents doing. And there's another way we act in a traditional way, gold.

When paper money has a bad time people turn to metals. Recently gold hit its highest price in almost two weeks. During the same time the dollar has continued to weaken and the Euro was smacked in the back off the legs by the Greece problems. So, as the modern economies have struggled the buying and selling of precious metals has had a shot in the arm, just as people did in the early days.

It makes you wonder how far back we would go. If the recession going into a deep double-dip will we start haggling with shopkeepers and trading in geese and crops? I have some flint in the garden, I might fashion it into rudimentary axe heads just in case.

As it is time to buy gold bullion I have found a website that may be of use to you. Have a look at www.usgoldbureau.com if you want to see more.
