Lucky Ryan

I'm the paper today it says Ryan Giggs' wife has taken him back, forgiven him for all the affairs BUT she refuses to star her wedding ring.

He gets a wire and she gets less jewellery. Yeah, that'll teach him.

The Old Spell-Check

Oh yes. I recently posted about using the old version of Twitter, which was in fact me writing on a PostIt note. Well, it turns out I got the Beiber wrong. I was following the i before e thing.

It's OK, I have started using the really old version of spell-check...

In that case, this is what we had to do before spellcheck was... on Twitpic

See? Sorted.

The Old Twitter

As a Twitter user I keep getting messages saying the old Twitter is about to end and I will be forced to use the new one. Recently that warning at the top of the Twitter page has changed colour. Ooooh, it must be serious.

But I don't want to change to the new one. I like the old one. I fear change!

And when I say I am using the old Twitter, I mean the really old one...

This is what we had to do before Twitter was invented. on Twitpic

I have to stick that somewhere where lots of people I almost know can see it.

Topamax

The details of what happaned with Topamax and the resulting Topamax lawsuits is quite moving. How a drug designed to help people could actually end up harming people, it a shocking fact of life.

But just because something bad happens doesn't mean you should just have to accept it. There's no way back, no way of changing the outcome, but there is the possibility of compensation. It won't make it right but it may help to control the down-side of the current situation.

That's why at O’Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath, they have attorneys who have worked on these cases and therefore understand that a child’s injuries are not the fault of the parent. They have built up expertise and experience and can work in these cases with compassion and knowledge. If you want to find out about what they do, you should ask them. Their details are...

More U-Turns

Think about the issue of politicians doing U-turns, I don't really have a problem with it. What bothers me is when politicians don't indicate before turning left at a roundabout.

Or when a politician is driving his policy on a motorway and just hogs the middle lane.

And hey, politician, if you're driving your policy near me, don't tail-gate you idiot, it's dangerous.

Maybe, just maybe, I didn't quite grasp this metaphor.

U-Turns

There has been a log of talk about the Government making a lot of U-turns. They have denied it even when it is plainly clear that they have made such a move.

I think the problem is the phrase, U-turn. It seems to imply a negative feel, like it is a bad thing to do. But have you ever made a U-turn? It's always the right thing to do and saves you a lot of time driving in the wrong direction.

So what we need is a phrase that means U-turn but sounds cooler, sexier, more impressive. So from now on I say politicians should call it a "hand-brake turn".

Although with the way the Government have been going round in circles they should say they've been doing doughnuts in Sainsbury's carpark.

The Greek Plan

We could probably learn a lot from what is happening with the Greek economy. They may be forced to leave the Euro and take up their own currency again. That has a lot of people worried because the new currency (or old one they return to) would likely see an devaluation during the change over. People are worried that the money they have saved will become worth less, so thay have opted to buy gold bullion as a way of preserving their worth.

Currencies can be affected by all sorted of political things, whereas gold is gold. It will have a value, that can go up and down, but does so based on supply and demand, a far fairer system.

The United States Gold Bureau is one place on the web where you can do like the Greeks have been doing and covert some of you investments into gold.

It's A Circus

Yesterday, while watching BBC's Question Time I heard abut a vote in parliament to ban the use of wild animals in circuses. I'd go one step futher and ban circuses. If they don't have animals it'll be mainly clowns, and they're as scary as hell.

But I was broadly in favour of this ban till I started to think about it. They won't let the animals who work in circuses work out the rest of their careers while stopping new ones from joining – natural wastage like they do in the civil service – they'll effectively sack the animals from show biz.

Oh no. If you stop them working in a circus they'll all try and get work on the stand-up ciruit, like sooo many actors do.

Pinky And The Brain

I am very happy as I have just discovered that I can do an OK impression of Brain from Pinky and the Brain. With a bit of work I will be able to do it spot on.

OK, it's not the most useful skill I have developed but then, I have so many that aren't useful. I can burp most letters, click parts of my body that make people want to be sick and can hold a note for about 40-seconds while I breathe out.

All of these skills have taken time, effort and dedication to develop and none of them will get me anywhere. Kind of like Brain's plans for world domination. Seem I'm getting more like him already.

Topamax

Have you been looking into Topamax lawsuits? It's a moving story of a drug, Topamax, that started life as an anti-convulsant medicine that was given to people who suffered epileptic seizures and in some cases given to those who get migraine headaches. But sadly there was a side effect linked to the drink that resulted in birth defects along the lines of cleft lips and palates.

Quite reightly, people realised that it wasn't their fault that these birth defects happened and as such they looked into the lines of legal recourse.

There is a firm of lawyers, O'Hanlon, McCollom & Demerath, who have dealt with many cased related to this and as such have built up a worth of expertise and experience. It means they are well placed to help in these cases.

If you want to find out more about them their details are...

Signs

As I sat down with a nice cup of decaf tea last night, ready to see what was on telly, I realised it was so late the sign language shows were on. Oh my, I find those much better than the normal shows. You want the show and the presenter will say something like, "It's looks like the German government have made a right pig's ear of it," and you think, "Oooh, I wonder what the sign language for pig's ear is?"

But last night the woman who was doing the sign language on BBC1 had a crazy face. I'm not trying to be harsh but she was acting the whole show out with her expressions. they were bigger than her hand gestures. She was so off putting I can't remember a thing about the TV show. I just sat there and watched her.

I think that's the biggest sign of all... that I should get out more.
