Bingo

Bingo is a very popular online. It's one of the most up and coming sectors of the internet. It's been a while since online gambling has become popular, with its ease of use and the enjoyment people get from playing online. All of the things that people get from online casinos and the like are present in online bingo, but bingo has the added element that it's a game that people have played in bingo halls and in newspapers for years. It's something that people already know the rules to, they have experience with, and they have enjoyed before. The same can be said of roulette and card games, but it's about the mass market. Some people have experience in casinos but loads of normal people have played bingo. Sites like http://www.bingoboard.org/ have loads of info about bingo sites, and you can even find free sites. You can be playing bingo with no cost. It's not just free sites listed, you can find ones where you can play and win. If you want to read more at http://www.bingoboard.org/ . Find out about the bingo sites and get involved if you feel like it. It's certainly easier than going to an actual bingo hall and playing.

Good Advice

More information from another coffee trip. This time I visited a Nero and noticed a sign that said, "Don't squeeze me until I'm yours."

Where was this advice when I first started dating?  It could've saves ne so many slaps in the face.

They also tell you to pay before you eat. Again...

Drug Detox Rehab

I know a couple who have an interesting view on health. She (the wife of the couple) will go on a rant about man-made chemicals and food preservatives. She says things like, "You can't trust it if it isn't natural. I only trust natural things because Mother Nature makes things for us."

Her world is a black and white world where natural is good, man-made is bad. It is easy to live your life in such a simple way but it is wrong. I hate to be the one to burst her bubble, and I wouldn't if she kept her thoughts to herself, but she is evangelical about it so I feel I have to step up.

Natural is good, man-made is bad, eh? Snake venom is natural, synthetic insulin is man-made. One kills people, one saves the lives of diabetics.

She didn't seem convinced by that but I found an even more complicated example. Have you ever heard of Oxycodone? It's an opioid analgesic. So, it's derived from something that grows naturally. It was developed in 1916 and is classified as a semi-synthetic opioid (so, partly man-made, partly natural). It's used to help people with moderate to severe pain. So that's a good thing, isn't it? Imagine all the people it's helped. It is partly man-made and yet it has helped so many people.

But it has a down side. People can get addicted to it and people need Drug Detox to get over it. Oxycodone Withdrawal Symptoms can be so bad that people have to seek special treatment centers to get their Oxycontin Detox. Lives can be turned upside down and rehabilitation can be hard work. That shows it can be a bad thing. It's partly natural and yet is can be bad. You see how confusing this is. And it gets worse. The rehabilitation and utilise natural resources and man-made products to work.

So, something partly man-made, partly natural can be both good and bad, and the cure can be both man-made and natural.

If anyone ever tries to make you believe that natural is good, mad-made is bad, just remember that their simple view can't cover all things.

Tonight's TV

Another night of watching My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding on Channel Four, but it wasn't a good one this week. There wasn't a wedding. There was one hen night (not a wedding, but related, so OK, we'll let that one go) but it was mainly about serious issues.

No one tunes in to that show to learn something. It's not BBC4, it's Channel 4, and people have come to expect what that TV show will offer.

And you can't laugh at someone being made homeless or someone racing horses on roads which risked the safety of the animal and their kids. But you can laugh at a silly big wedding dress. You don't want to make fun of someone's traditions and culture, but a massive outfit that makes you look like a thing old women use to cover toilet rolls, now that's golden.

Let's hope next week is better.
