Holland has become the first country to legally allow euthanasia. Now all we've got to do is get Margaret Thatcher to go on holiday there.

Scientists say they have discovered a new gene that can give people a type of "internal sunscreen". Although, why you'd need sunscreen inside your body... unless the sun shines out of your a... anyway.
Increasing numbers of doctors are calling on their biggest legal help organisation to ask whether they can lawfully treat pets and other animals. Great, now I'm second in-line to see my chiropodist after a centipede with gout.
Engineering work at Stansted Airport is being held up by a colony of protected rare newts. You see, that's what happens when you have Ken Livingstone as mayor.
Scottish taxi driver George Steele has earned £12,000 for driving a woman 16,000 miles across America. When they got there the woman said, "No, I meant Texas the DIY place."
Jeremy Paxman is to return the Second World War decoding device, the Enigma machine, to its home at Bletchley Park exactly two years after it was stolen. It's a famous piece of English heritage that's know to churn out total non-sense, so no wonder Jeremy Paxman's got it.

All 89 passengers and five crew have been evacuated from a passenger jet bound for Amsterdam after smoke was detected on board as the flight taxied on an airport runway. Don't they understand, you smoke when you're in Amsterdam, not before!
Ray Houghton has been signed up as a consultant for a new soccer game, Championship Manager 4. It's quite life-like, fairly well animated and is almost as good as the real thing... and so's the game.
Far Left teachers have made their stand against the sanctions on Iraq which are supported by Britain. Including primary school teachers, but they made their stand out of loo rolls and sticky-back plastic.
A new regulation forcing electricity suppliers to obtain up to 10% of their power from green sources by 2010 has been launched. On of the main options is to get power from wind. So Vanessa Feltz has a use after all.

Although I doubt she’ll make the bottom fall out of the market.

It wasn’t just for a magazine, the newsagent offered a chocolate bar too.
