Old News from 02-04-02

A while back I used to write some topical material for radio stations. So, it's way out of date now, but I think it's interesting to have a look back. This is what was in the news back then.

(This was international news section)

Playgirl magazine has launched a search for collapsed energy giant Enron's sexiest man. Of course he'll pose naked, because he can't afford any clothes now.

In China... Officials say their unmanned Shenzhou III spacecraft has returned to Earth and now they're ready to carry people into space. They didn't bother sending monkeys into space, because they'd already eaten them.

In Canada... An April Fool's Day report that the finance minister Paul Martin was about to resign and go breed cattle triggered a dip in the value of the Canadian dollar. Sounds like it worried the cattle too.
