A Good Car Idea

Finally. A pressure group has said automatic speed control devices should be installed in cars to force motorists to stick to speed limits.

I totally agree. We can put a man on the moon and air-brush Sarah Jessica Parker till she looks attractive, so we should be able to get this sorted.

With GPS a car knows where it is, and all it would take is a database to link position to speed limit on that road and you're sorted.

Now, I'm not one of these people who will cry about how evil cars are and say speed cameras should be everywhere, and that's why I like this plan. If people had the ability to know they're not speeding without even looking at the dashboard they can pay more attention to the road making them safer, and no one would get the £60 fine. That way the speed cameras would be too expensive to run and they would get taken down.

No longer would the driver be used as a source of funds and we'd all be safer. How can that not be a good idea?

Of course, it would cost the authorities a lot of money in missed revenue, so I'm not holding my breath for it.
